It's the same expensive in the UK mate, except our tech salaries are a fraction of what you earn in America. Just look up UK petrol prices for example and see how insanely high they are, but salaries are not compensating for that. Granted you have to drive more in America as everything is spread out, but still....

It's kinda ruined my life. I've slowly been realizing over the past year, but, again, I covered up by getting stoned - don't worry about it, just have a spliff. Problem is, it's frowned upon here, so I ended up essentially saying "Well, let me get all my stuff done for the day and then lock up and smoke" and slowly over time, it turned from that, to completely disregarding things I had to do or trying to get out of them so I could be home on time to get stoned. I smoke from 5 til 10 in the evening and then around about ten, I pass out. It's funny reflecting out in the open like this, now I realize it never helped me "sleep" it's just that I was so stoned I couldn't stay awake. I sacrificed all of my friendships, I've got maybe one or two friends, but I still keep them at a distance - when I'm smoking really hard I let the house and myself fall to bits so I sort of, keep people at arms length so they don't see how truly messed up things have gotten. Now whenever I'm sober, everything hurts, I feel uncomfortable, I can't concentrate and all I can think about is getting to five o'clock so I can have a spliff. I also taught myself that I needed weed to help my mental health, but the reality is, I was just shutting my head up and not trying to assess it, when you're stoned you can kinda drown out reality I guess. Then, as we all know, we come into that time where there is no weed, either you don't have money or the plug, and I got into a horrible three months where I couldn't get hold, gambled on the deep web and lost loads of money, then my job got threatened through redundancy so I attempted for the first time ever and it got really out of hand - I'd cut myself up big time, and am now covered in scars. I don't do it anymore, it was just during the time, trying to amp myself up to finish what I started but somehow, I kept waking up and surviving - I'm not religious, I don't know why, I just kept getting up again. Problem really is, that I've also ignored my health during the three or four years this addicition has gone on - and it's far too late to do anything about it now, the damage is done and it's pretty severe. So part of me is like, kick it, kick it today and never start again. The other side is, what's the point?

8 years here. First 2 weeks were the worst for me as well. After that it was whatever but, I gained a lot of weight. Always stood the same weight when I was on the devils lettuce.

Been sober for over a year now. Had a smoke now and then but for the last year I've stopped being high all day long and this guy absolutely nails how I feel. There's such an obvious improvement but when I was stoned all the time I had nothing to compare it to so I had no real idea what it was doing to me

I quit 18 months ago after 25 yrs (due to my job)... and tbh, i haven't noticed any difference really. I dont really miss it anymore, but i haven't automatically felt better either. Thought I'd have more money but seems i just spend it on other crap.

Welcome, to the life of a veteran martial artist, I'm 30 years in and you can't stop training unfortunately, if you stop training, you suffer more atrophy of everything and degeneration and all the chronic pains and injuries get even worse and you suffer more, You keep training but you scale back certain thing's and try and find a balance, also there are great homeopathic remedies for problems that come with ageing, tumeric/curcumin is great for thing's like joint inflammation and Ostioarthritis, peace!

I stopped smoking weed when I was 18 and switched to pills, MDMA, molly, shrooms... by the time I got pregnant with my first kiddo, I was 22 and quit everything. I stopped smoking as well. By the time my last was born in 2015, I picked up smoking again then switched to vaping.. and am still currently vaping 6% juice now. I've also noticed wheezing. This video has inspired me to try harder and be a better example. Thank you.

Some people where I work I know are hitting a vape pen to help their day out. Dont care. Wish I could do that. Iv never been a big weed smoker. Im a nightly drinker. Which I think is worse. I admire the dudes at work that can puff some tuff off a pen and carry on like nothing happened. Not that I want to be high or whatever they feel at work. 10 days off weed as of today. Same age and about 20 years of smoking myself. My dog died 2 weeks ago and decided to get sober as I wanna feel the pain of the loss and not numb it. So far I feel really good much better than I expected. Taking it day by day, feel like I’ll regret smoking if I did, also forget alcohol that’s a no brainer. I wish you had lived outside of a city in the US first before doing this becuase it is significantly different. But I agree with most of what you say. The one thing that gets me is that when I travel to other countries (never been to Europe but most other continents), people don't always talk about politics. Its such a insideous american thing I wish we'd stop.

You are doing what I dream of doing Dorian. I started learning programming 2 years ago. I traveled a fair bit around 15 years ago and noticed the same thing, that Americans tend to be stressed out and uptight. I've wanted to live outside the USA for about 20 years at this point. I still haven't got my financial shit together though. I haven't earned a penny from programming yet since I made a game with no engine to learn (I'm not attracted to web development). Learned Python and C and now learning OpenGL but it's still a long road and not sure it's the right path. Not easy to do solo.

I've cut down as well because I don't want it to become a crutch like I've done with videos games. Now, I'm just enjoying some edibles from time to time.

Before i was always stoned i also dont like socail anxiety now i smoke 10 years and im not having a driver license and i want it so i try to stop but it is so hard my stepdad smokes weed my friends smoke weed my girlfriend smoke weed so its soo hardd and i smoke every day like 1/2 gram in the netherland its €40 for 5 gram and im not working right now got €7000+ dept lost my grandpa last week and my sister in 2017 she was only 17 but im inspired by your words so i will try again in 01/01/2025

My mother is currently in Malaysia visiting her family. And since it's been about 3 says since she's gone there, it really makes me wish I could've gone with her. This is a sudden trip because her brother recently passed away so she's mourning with family. Sadly with the timing, she found out that her mother is fighting pneumonia after just arriving so she must already be going through so much so soon. But this is making me think about family and how much it is cherished over there. The difference is so insanely different comparing this tropical world to the US. Friendship is much stronger or left out in the states, but it seems like family is slowly losing its grip here. But that can be because there's already so much to worry about when you have already grown up. I remember when I visited years ago, I was in middle school at the time. And my mother's family lived so close to eachother. And every year, there's this holiday where people of the village would visit each other's houses to feast or party. In the US, it's your decision to live your life. But the cost of that _is_ your life or correcting it. I hear on my dad's side of a lot of past family drama brought up today. How there's a division in the family. How everyone on that side is living scattered around the world, not an inch close to one another. But everyone I can think of on my mother's side continue to live close by. That's beautiful! It doesn't even matter what religion you're affiliated with. You don't have to worry about that there! Watching this video, hearing that watermelon only costs $2 there is very eye opening!

What they also forget is in the job market employees are going to be looking for the magic word bachelor's degree so it doesn't even matter how many certificates they have. I think that's the first thing you should have hit on
